The IG BOX 140 3600mm Lintel is a standard duty structural steel lintel designed for 140mm solid wall construction, suitable for both internal and external openings. With a 3600mm span, it’s ideal for wide structural openings such as large windows, double doors, and service access points in residential and commercial builds.
Manufactured from pre-galvanised mild steel with a Z600 zinc coating, this lintel offers excellent corrosion resistance and long-term durability. Its closed box profile ensures superior rigidity and load distribution, while perforations along the length act as a plaster key for improved adhesion of internal finishes. The lintel is designed to support the full weight of wet masonry immediately upon installation, reducing propping requirements and accelerating build speed.
Compliant with BS EN 10346:2009, BS EN 845-2:2003, and BS 476: Part 20:1987, the IG BOX 140 3600mm lintel meets UK Building Regulations for fire safety and structural integrity. It is suitable for concrete floor loads, timber joists, roof trusses, and point loads such as compound trusses or steel beams.
